Besides the 5 people who acknowledged today that i do exist, 3 guys at school - one of whom exchanged emails with me after chatting for a half hour while waiting for my van, and 2 guys one from each classes, and ...Josh, of course...and P...who apparently still exists out in the other SF, unless it was his ghost who called me, i'm not quite sure just yet) this entry is brought to you by a bit of joy i received while not doing schoolwork but instead reading Matilda by Roald Dahl. I am on page 30...
I want to preserve this gloriously descriptive moment...I love that I can visualize every horrid bit. :-D
"Mrs. Wormwood sat munching her meal with her eyes glued to the American soap-opera on the screen. She was a large woman whose hair was dyed platinum blonde except where you could see the mousy-brown bits growing out from the roots. She wore heavy make-up and she had one of those unfortunate bulging figures where the flesh appears to be strapped in all around the body to prevent it from falling out."
The way he described adults is stunningly fantastic. So much so that I burst into audible laughter despite noticing the run-on sentence...grr. (It should be "make up, and she") (Yes, Bethany did kill my grammatical errors.) Dangit, school needs to be out...my creativity beckons me elsewhere.
Oh, and today I decided that 10 minutes of a presentation in psychology is less stressful than writing 6 extra pages...I'm down to only making up 4 pages now...and a lot less stress.
I think I've been saying 5 weeks till school is out for about 3 weeks now, but its really true this time!!
um...okay, I think it's bedtime, i'm so tired...and I have schoolwork to do. A lot of schoolwork...and right now more Matilda to read as I drift off ;-)
